Android 4.4.2 was released a couple of days ago and was one of the fastest updates from the previous version which was Android 4.4.1. This has caused a lot of confusion among the users as to what the update has bought and what would the improvements would be. There had been no as such clear change-log for the same. There is still none from Google, but one of the carrier partners in Sprint has bought us a little details in the insight to what the update has bought.
So far the fat and big of the story is there have been few bug fixes as well as improvements in the Camera quality on the device. The devices receiving the update so far have been the Nexus 4, 5 and Nexus 7. However, scanning through the entire change-log you would be actually surprised seeing changes you perhaps did not even notice. The best example being the lack of Gallery app which has been replaced by the Google Photos.
According to the users on Nexus 4 though, they havent really seen any improvements in the camera and the battery situation has seen a slight dip too. You can check all the brief changelog here. If you are on one of the Nexus devices and have not received the update yet, no need to panic, it would be hitting your screens very shortly.

Edit: Nexus 4 users are reporting that they have not had their default gallery removed.
