Apple’s iPhone 5 and iPad 3 to feature 4G LTE

iPhone 4S was probably the weakest launch of Apple after the company gave us products to marvel at, especially in the past 6 years like iPod, iPhone, iPads, various Macbooks etc. However, there have been various issues reported such as poor battery life, Siri not responsive etc and the fact that it is the same design as that of iPhone 4 means that iPhone 4S is yet to hit off like its predecessors. However the rumours are already afloat about the features of the new iPhone 5 and iPad 3 and the one news that is pretty much confirmed is that they would be enabled with 4G LTE technology for faster data transfer.
Various Android devices and certain Windows Phone devices are already carrying the LTE technology and it was one of the striking features missing from the iPhone 4S. However, it does seem that Apple is keen to jump on the bandwagon of LTE at least if these reports from the well respected site (http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http://business.nikkeibp.co.jp/article/topics/20111130/224702/&hl=en&langpair=auto%7Cen) Nikkei are to be believed.
There can be various inferences from the published report, even though it talks about the 4G LTE coming to Japan in the coming month or so in the iPad first, it is a given that if Japan would  get the technology, so would the US and other parts of the world. The iPhone 5 is set to follow the iPad 3 in terms of sporting the connectivity of LTE. However, it does seem pretty surprising that Apple is closing the deals with the South Asian market first to launch this service in its new products. What is for sure though is that iPhone 5 and iPad 3 are probably already the most keenly awaited devices in their categories, especially now with Quad-Core on horizon!
