The popular joke in town is that, there are more ZenFone models than languages that are spoken in India. We have witnessed a launch or the other, just about every month of a new ZenFone even if the improvements on the same have been negligible. This has made the catalogue of the ZenFones all the way more convoluted and confusing. However, the ZenFone Go is probably the easiest device yet to understand. It is the cheapest ZenFone device ever made, and made with the target audience very clear in the mind. It is a phone that would compete against the likes of the Moto E and RedMi 2 in the lower budget category thanks to its Rs 5299 price point.
The design of the phone is pretty much in line with the bland candybar designs that we have seen on the other ZenFone devices. The bezelsa re a little more prounced on the ZenFone Go, than the other higher end flagships. In terms of specifications, the phone comes with a 854×480, 4.5 inch LCD panel. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz MT6580 chipset. There is 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. If that is not sufficient you also have expandable storage thanks to the Micro SD card slot in there. the phone has a 5 MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. There is a 1600 mAh battery in there and phone comes with Dual SIM support.
It will be avialable exclusively via Flipkart for now. Though the ZenFone Go is expected to land in the retail stores arounf second week of January.
