Asus Plans to Unveil ZenFone Zoom and ZenFone Max at IFA 2015

Ahoa..Beware, more Zenfones are on the way!

Just when you thought, nobody could out Samsung Samsung, Asus seems to be taking a shot at it and actually hitting it right where it hurts the most. Just the way the Galaxy brand name had become an umbrella for just about every new phone Samsung launched, every couple of days, the Zenfone has become a bit of a sheet shelter too. It was barely a month ago that in Delhi, Asus anounced five new models of the Zenfone including the Zenfone Selfie and looks like we are set to see a few more of the phones at the upcoming IFA 2015 conference. The IFA 2015 conference is scheduled to be held from September 2nd 2015 onwards, and as a prelude to the same, Asus’ CEO Jerry Shen has confirmed that Asus at the very least has two new phones to show off.

The two phones to be revealed will feature the Asus ZenFone Zoom, which is a device with 3x optical zoom while the second phone will be the ZenFone Max which features a 5000 mAh battery and can be used as a powerbank to charge other phones simultaneously. We have already seen the Zenfone Max at the Zenfestival in Delhi, where the device was announced. We expect the prices to be revealed at IFA 2015 officially. The device comes with a 5.5 inch display, backed by Snapdragon 410 SoC and 2 GB of RAM. Shen also confirmed that Asus will be announcing at the very least 6 to 7 new smartphones under the Zenfone lineup next year. We are not sure whether these will be total 6 new phones or new lineups with several models falling within them, hopefully it is the former.
