Asus announced a plethora of smartphones at the Asus Zenfestival in Delhi. And while it added to the confusion thanks to the several models available of the Zenfone now, it definitely gave the customers who are looking to pick up phones a wider gamut of choices. If you are the sorts who really likes to do his research before picking up a smartphone and really likes to get into the nitty gritty of things, you will have loads of options to pick up from in the current Zenfone range of devices.
However, one phone that was widely expected to be announced but was not, was the Zenfone Go. A budget smartphone with smart specifications the Zenfone Go is largely what the original Zenfone 5 was. The device has already been listed on Flipkart which pretty much confirms the plans of Asus to bring it out soon. In terms of specifications, the device would have a 5 inch 720 P LCD display which will be powered on the back by a Mediatek MT6580 Quad Core chip. The device will be available in both 8 GB and 16 GB storage variants and 2 GB of RAM. It would have active support for Dual SIM slots, though there is no LTE on board.
The phone will have 8 MP rear snapper and a 2 MP front facing camera. Zenfone Go will have Android 5.1 out of the box with Zen UI on top of it. Release date as well as the price of the phone is still not specified on the website so we will have to wait for that.
