OnePlus One landed in India yesterday amidst a lot of interest and happy faces. A true flagship device of 2014, made available merely for Rs 22,000 has got a lot of people talking. But, the Chinese startup, OnePlus is in no mood to waxing its own lyrical and is already working on what you would presume would be the Flagship killer of the year 2015.
The Director of the company, Carl Pei has all but confirmed that OnePlus is already working towards OnePlus Two and have set internal deadlines which could be as early as Q2 of the year 2015. It is rumored that the OnePlus Two will feature a slightly smaller display as compared to the OnePlus One, which has a 5.5 inch IPS display and would have a few hardware surprises. We wonder what they could be, but the story in Business Insider, refrained from going into any sort of details. It is also expected that the OnePlus Two would be priced slightly higher than the OnePlus One, presumably to keep the OnePlus One still competitive and a viable option for people to buy it. In a quote published by BGR India, Pei said:
We are planning to announce the OnePlus Two in Q2 or Q3 next year. So it is one year after this phone [OnePlus One].
Pei also confirmed that India would be one of the very first countries to receive OnePlus Two when the device launches.
