Cheapest Windows Phone 8.1 Device Available for Rs 4,703 as Celkon Win 400 Goes on Sale

Celkon has followed the lead of the likes of Micromax and Xolo, and entered the Windows Phone market. It was announced earlier in the year that Microsoft was going to slash the licensing fee for the Windows Phone 8.1 in order to bring more OEMs on board and expand its product catalog. This might be one of the reasons why Celkon has jumped in, and while not officially announcing the phone via a media note or anything substantial, the Celkon Win 400 has gone on sale on Snapdeal, here in India.

The pricing of Rs 4,703 will make the Celkon Win 400 the most inexpensive Windows Phone 8.1 device in the world. In terms of specifications, the device has a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 200 SoC with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. The device has a 4 inch display with a resolution of 480×800. The rear camera is a 5 MP unit while the front facing camera is a 1.2 Mega Pixel snapper to help you take those selfies and make video calls.

The device has FM Radio inbuilt and has 1500 mAh battery, which Celkon has said will give you at least an entire day of juice. The device will carry a one year warranty and is available only on Snapdeal for now. It is not clear whether the phone will remain an online exclusive or will later be launched offline.
