Few days back I explained you the method to create documents using Google Docs. Similarly you can create presentation and save it in cloud so that you can view it later from anywhere you want by login into your Google docs account. This is the guide to create, edit, view download, embed, share presentations using Google Docs.
Go to Google Docs.
On left, click on Create new –> Presentation.
Enter the title and subtitle. You don’t need to think about name of presentation, Google automatically saves the title under presentation name.
How to change the look of slides in Google Docs
Apart from writing text, you can change the entire look of your presentation by changing the background color and inserting templates. Just click on the Format drop down given at the navigation menu. Go to Presentation settings –> Change theme.
Here you’ll get many themes built by Google. Just click on any of the theme and it will automatically apply on your slide.
Here’s how Google Docs presentation looks like after applying Grass theme.
Click on Insert option on the navigation menu and You can also insert text, image, drawing, video, table and shape. You can also Import slide using the Import slides option.
How to inset new slide into the presentation
Click on the + symbol given below navigation menu on left. New slide will introduce in the presentation. You can visit the second slide by clicking the thumbnail given on left.
It will ask you to select the layout of the slide.
You can also add speaker notes to your slide. This notes can be visible to speakers only, not audiences. So you can add anything memorable to the note and it will help you while delivering presentation.
How to view the presentation
Viewing presentation is easy, just click on the View tab on the navigation menu, select Start presentation from the drop down. You can also use keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F5 to start the presentation. To move the slides, you can use left and right arrow keys.
How to download presentation
To download presentation, go to File -> Download as. You can download the file in PDF, PowerPoint and text formats.
That’s how you can use Google docs to create, view, download, edit presentations. By downloading it in PowerPoint format, you can also run it in Microsoft PowerPoint or OpenOffice software.
