There was an Apple event yesterday. We are sure you know about the same. Dubbed as the biggest Apple event, it eventually turned out being the longest event for sure. It was also the Apple event where pretty much every product other than the Macbooks were covered and there was something or the other for everyone to look forward to. Yes we all were eagerly awaiting the new iPhones, but there was a lot to pick up from the event, so here are the snippets of everything that happened at the Apple Event yesterday in a typical recap style.

Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus Announced
The most eagerly awaited announcement of the evening was the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The new generation of iPhones in terms of their looks are very much like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. You cannot really make out the difference between an iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, other than from the back of the phone which has the ‘S’ etched in the back of the device. The device does have a 12 MP camera now as compared to 8 MP on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The most talked about feature of the new iPhones is the 3D touch which would allow you to open contextually relevant menus from within the app as well as on the springboard. For example, a deep touch on the Facebook app icon on the springboard, will allow you to directly update a status or go into a specific spot in the app. You will be able to record live pictures too on the phone, a bit like Zoe, where long pressing a picture will play the 1.5 seconds before and after the picture was taken. The phones will come with new leather cases as well. The phone will be available for pre-order on September 12th and go out on sale from September 25th via the carriers. The iPhone 6s Plus will sell for $299 via carriers and iPhone 6 will cost $199. India is expected to get the new iPhones around end of the year.
