Google is going to roll out with new instant search feature which is known as “Google Instant” By using this technology user can search to Google without hitting the “Search” button. Yes, while typing the query the result comes on your screen and as you change the query , result will change according to that. Pretty cool.
In the screenshot given below, I typed the term “blogtechni” in the search box and it automatically starts showing result related to this blog “Blogtechnika.com”. Pretty intelligent Google!. Also you can notice the almost hidden grey text (it is actally suggestion by Google).
According to Google Instant
Google Instant is a new search enhancement that shows results as you type. We are pushing the limits of our technology and infrastructure to help you get better search results, faster. Our key technical insight was that people type slowly, but read quickly, typically taking 300 milliseconds between keystrokes, but only 30 milliseconds (a tenth of the time!) to glance at another part of the page. This means that you can scan a results page while you type.
This feature is definitely going to benefit the customers as they can search faster. According to Google instant team, it will save your 2-5 seconds per search. You don’t have to type the full term. Just start typing the term you are searching for and it is guaranteed that Google will show you the result instantly.
It also predicts your result automatically therefore if you are unsure about your search then it will help you by suggesting the term in grey text in the search box. It will be easier to you to predict the term by watching the grey text.
How to get the search page
If you are trying Google.com to see this cool feature then you will not experience it now because Google haven’t added it yet on this link. Google is providing instant results to search via this link.

Update 1: SteveRubel gave an important insight about this new search feature that it will change the SEO game. According to him:
No two people will see the same web. Once a single search would do the trick – and everyone saw the same results. That’s what made search engine optimization work. Now, with this, everyone is going to start tweaking their searches in real-time. The reason this is a game changer is feedback. When you get feedback, you change your behaviors.
