GT Text is an app that allows users to copy text from images and use that elsewhere. This app is useful if you want to copy text from an image you received through mail or text from a snapshot that you have just taken. Sometimes you take a picture just for the text and not for anything else really. So you can extract that text with this app.
The app comes in a portable version or in an installer and you can select whichever one you find suitable. The portable version comes in a zip file. So first extract the files and then run the exe file. If you want, you can install the app also.
Once installed, open the app and it will ask you to locate an image to extract the text from. Just select the image and it will appear in the editing window of the GT Text screen.
Now, to extract the text from the image that you have selected, go to tools-copy text from-full image. This will copy any text that is there on the image and display it on a window. If you want text from a selected area, you can do that by selecting the area from where you want the text to be extracted. Then, the app will display only the text that is present within the area that you have selected.
