The Nexus 9 is one of the most keenly anticipated tablets around. Since the Nexus 7 and Nexus 5 last year, Google has not refreshed the line of tablets or smartphones. Speculation has been adrift that the next giant tablet, the Nexus 9 will be made by HTC while the next Nexus smartphone, Nexus 6 will be a product from the factories of Motorola. However, until now, nobody had a clue about the design or the specifications of these devices.
The first ever picture of the HTC made Nexus 9 was leaked out by Twitter account, @Upleaks. @Upleaks has come into prominence, post the retirement of @Evleaks, an account that earned its fame for leaking out final renders of smartphones and tablets well before the launch date. Hence, the account’s information is considered fairly reliable.
Seeing the image, you can assume that the tablet will run a 4:3 Aspect Ratio as compared to a 16:9 that we have seen from the Nexus 7 tablets. It also has a soft matte finish back, a bit like the Nexus 5 with the huge Nexus branding at the back along with the HTC logo. By the looks of it, the 3.5 mm headphone jack will be at the top and the Micro USB slot at the bottom of the smartphone. The camera will sport an LED as well as what looks to be a dedicated microphone for voice recording. The leak does not give out any information on the hardware specifications, though most media outlets in the know, claim that the 8.9 inch Full HD display on the Nexus 9 will be powered by the Tegra K1 processor and 2 GB of RAM. The release date of the same is rumored to be October 16th
