Needless to say, there have been plenty of changes on iOS 7 making it perhaps the biggest leap since the introduction of iOS in iPhone. Apart from changes in OS, plenty of Apps have been revamped too, and one such app is the default calculator app. If you have the dev account and iOS 7 installed, you can try the app. However, if you have an Android smart phone and would like to experience life on the other side of the border, there is an interesting application that basically replicates the iOS 7 Calculator app on your Android device.

The app is developed by touchWood Labs and is available for Rs. 55 or $.99. The UI of the app is extremely neat and simple and dare we say exactly same as that on iOS 7. In landscape mode, you have simple calculator with just digits. In landscape though, the story is different. You have full scientific calculator. There is added functions of memory storage in the calculator such as M+.

Things work without an issue and in fact fly along. The animations are smooth and clean. The only drawback with the app is the fact that if you turn landscape to portrait and vice versa, you lose your readings as it goes to zero. The app is light on the memory and does not hog your RAM.

Here is the app description by the developer:

iOS 7 Calci is the replica of the to be announced iOS 7 by Apple with full landscape support and a few tweaks. Instead of a sign changing button we have added a backspace button which comes in handy at times when you don’t want to delete the whole number. This sign changing button has been added in landscape layout instead of a 2nd button.

The inverse trigonometric functions can be implemented by long pressing on the respective trigonometric functions. Brackets have yet not been implemented but will soon be updated with some more mathematical functions. The application is fully supported for phones as well as tablets. Please leave us with your valuable comments and honest ratings.Do not comment on something which has not been added yet.
Currently supported by screen sizes of 4.0 and above.
