Gionee Announces the GPad G4 and M2 in India

Gionee has been very bold in calling it’s latest flagship device, the Gionee E7 as the best Android Smartphone. Whether that claim is to keeps or not, is a debate for another day, but looks like the Chinese manufacturer is not just aiming for the top bracket devices. Gionee has a very decent range of mid range devices and the likes of Gionee E5 and E3 have been reasonable experiences.

Following up on the claim to try and become the biggest mobile brand by market shares in India, Gionee have announced the GPad G4 and M2 in India. While the Gionee G4 is in the popular Phablet category, the Gionee M2 is slightly smaller, but by no means are either of the phones small.

The GPad G4 takes design cues from the HTC One with a stark Aluminum body. The phone sports a 5.7 inch IPS Display which is 720 P in resolution. The phone is powered by a MediaTek 6589 T Quadcore SoC and has 1 GB of RAM. The device has a 13 MP rear cam and a 5 MP front shooter while you have 16 GB storage out of the box. The phone sadly runs Android 4.2 and is available for Rs. 18,999.

The M2 on the other hand, like aforementioned sports a 5 inch display with FWVGA resolution. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core A7 Cortex Processor. There is 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB ROM on board. There is micro SD slot for expansion and the phone is powered by a 4200 mAh battery. Just like the G4, the M2 comes with Android JellyBean 4.2 out of the box and has a 8 MP rear camera on board. It is priced at about Rs. 10,999.
