In what is expected to be a low profile event in the world of tech, before the fireworks are let off by Apple in their media event for the launch of iPad Air 2, Google is expected to announce the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 tonight. However, unlike Apple, there is no planned media event, instead the announcement is expected to be done via a blog post later tonight.
If you remember, the event for Nexus 5 was also cancelled last year because of a cyclone around the time and Google silently announced the device, this time around though, there are no storms. This bit of information comes from a report in Forbes.
The Nexus 9 is the tablet made by HTC and is expected to bring an 8.9 inch display with a 2048×1440 resolution, Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, 2 GB of RAM and an 8 MP camera. Google is expected to take preorders of the tablet starting 17th of November and will go on delivery from November 3rd. The Nexus 6 on the other hand is a device made by Motorola and will bring a mammoth 5.9 inch QHD display with design language very much like what we have seen on the Motorola Moto X Second Gen. The device is expected to bring a Snapdragon 805 SoC with 3 GB of RAM and 13 MP rear camera. The Nexus 9 and Nexus 6 will be first devices to be running Android L, though it is not clear yet when the Android update will hit other devices.
