System restore is a nice feature in Windows 7 and other Windows versions (Me, XP, Vista) that lets you create a restore point inside your computer so that you can go back to that state of your computer screwed up due to any bad program installation or any other factor.
There are many programs which make system restore point automatically on your computer while installation but this facility doesn’t come with all the programs. You can always create system restore point manually in Windows.
Here’s a step by step guide to create the system restore point manually.
1. Click on Start button and type restore point in the search box. Press Enter.
2. A system properties window will open up. Go to the system protection tab. Now click on “Create” button.
3. It will launch a restore point option. Now, type the description on the restore point you create. I prefer date of creation of restore point to remember it. After typing the description, click the “create” button.
System protection will start creating restore point in your computer. It will take few seconds.
After the restore point created, a window will pop up telling you that the restore point has created successfully.
That’s it. You’ve successfully created the system restore point. If you face any problem after crappy programs installation, go to the system restore and restore your system. We will discuss in future that how you can repair your system using system restore.
