How To Display Run Command in Windows 7 Start Menu

If you click on Start button in Windows 7 you won’t find “Run” link under system related folder area. By default it is set to hidden and you have to unhide it to display in Start menu. Other way to get run command window is by typing run in the search box and pressing “Enter”. To display the run option in the start menu you have to perform following steps:

Right click on “Start” button and select “Properties”.  “Taskbar and Start Menu” properties window will open. Click on the “Customize” button.

In the Customize Start menu box, scroll down to Run option. Check the box next to Run command. Press OK.

That’s it. Now click on Start button and you’ll find Run in the folder area.

Click on it to get the Run command box.
