How to Jailbreak your iDevice Running on iOS 7.1.1

One of the first questions anybody asks after a major iOS release is about the availability of the next jailbreak. So far, there was no news of the jailbreak for devices that running iOS 7.1.1, the latest public version of iOS. However, a Chinese group of developers called Pangu have made the files necessary for you to install cydia to your device available, enabling you to jailbreak your device and have fun with the cydia tweaks while enjoying the goodness of the latest OS from Apple.


To do this, all you need to do is head over to the webpage of Pangu here. The website is in Chinese, so you will need to run a Google translator to find your way around. The exe file is available for Windows, so you will have to download that to your PC and install the tool. The Mac version of the tool will be made available in the coming days, so for now, you will need a Windows run PC to do this operation. Once you have installed the tool, go ahead and connect your iPhone and unlock the device if you have a passcode set. You will need to make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes running on your computer.

Take a backup of your device, in case something goes wrong. Go ahead and run the tool now and follow the on screen instructions and your device will be jailbroken in a giffy. The only word of caution for our readers is that, the file size here is almost 70 MB which is pretty huge for a file like this, as so far most of them have been around 30 MB. We urge you to wait, if you are not in a hurry, for some of the better know jailbreaking teams to make use of the vulnerability in iOS 7.1 to make a more stable and reliable jailbreak tool available.
