I think the strongest method of marketing is guest posts though. Tweets, Status, and other social networks can be time sensitive (if someone isn't online when you tweet, they might not ever see the tweet). With Guest posts (especially on large popular blogs) you have a larger audience, frequently of new readers that have never read your site. This is great exposure and it makes you appear to be an expert in your niche. It's not always easy, but it's worth it! ;-) There are a bunch of great ways to get your content marketed.
