One of the biggest complains the tech nerds have had with the Network Providers in India has been the fact that 3G connectivity has been limited and very expensive. Unlimited data plans are crazy expensive and as a result most of us are stuck fighting to save every Mb of data that we can. In this scenario, a device like iPhone which is pulling data for all sort of apps which you cannot help but download, can be a real menace.
However, with iOS 7 now it is possible for you to turn off cellular data for data hungry apps. We have found that apps such as Foursquare, Gmail etc can be really intensive on your data as they are constantly pulling information in. However, you simply do not want to be restricting these either as when you are on Wi-Fi like you may be in your office, this information may be vital.
To get around, here are the steps you can do, to at least prevent some of the apps from accessing data on 3G:
Step 1: In your iOS 7 device, go to Settings.
Step 2: Go to Cellular.
Step 3: Here, scroll all the way to the bottom of the list and you can manually turn the apps off for whom you do not want Data to be used.
This is a really handy add on and allows you to save plenty of data on your iPhone and shrinks your bills. Did you find the guide useful? Let us know in the section below.
