How To Turn Off Notifications For Selected Applications On iPhone

iPhones can be recognized from a far away distance thanks to the unique notification sound they make. Yet on occasions this may be extremely if the phone keeps buzzing off and fills your notification center. If that is the case with you and you do not wish to receive notifications from a particular app, then you can turn this off. This procedure can only be carried out if you are using an iPhone which has been upgraded to or beyond iOS 5.0. This method is completely reversible so in case you want to re enable the notifications, then you can do that too.

Step 1: Go to the Settings icon on the springboard on your phone.

Step 2: Click on the Notifications panel.

Step 3: Here you will see all the applications that send you notifications, or the ones you have granted permission to send you notifications and be there in the notification center. So select the application, you wish to not receive notifications from.

Step 4: Now change the alert style to ‘None’. You can also change the alert style to banner in case you do not like the big blue box on alert and this will switch the alerts of your device off. You can repeat the above steps and change this back to normal settings too.
