Keeping in line with the strategy of making sure users have plenty of options when picking up smartphones, HTC announced the HTC E9+ in India. We are not too sure of the moniker of E9+ given that we had only the HTC E8 last year, but it perhaps makes sense cause the flagship device this year looks to be the HTC M9+ rather than the 9 which sadly was not even announced in India. the HTC M9 has received a lot of negative publicity due to the overheating issue of the device especially felt more cause of the metallic chassis which conducts heat more effectively.
The E9+, on the other hand is a budget offering, and will come with a 5.5 inch Quad HD display and a 64 bit 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795M) chipset with PowerVR G6200 GPU. The device comes with Android 5.0 out of the box with Sense skin running on top of it. You get 3 GB of RAM as well as 16 GB of internal storage which can be extended using a Micro SD card. The rear camera is a 20 MP unit while the front camera is an UltraPixel unit. The phone packs a 2800 mAh battery and comes with the standard boomsound speakers.
The device is a Dual SIM unit with both the SIM slots being nano-SIM. The phone will be available in grey, gold and rose gold color with the release in the market happening around May end which is when pricing will be annoucned too.
