HTC has announced its much awaited HTC One A9. The smartphone that was codenamed Aero A9, has been in the news for a while now and looked upon as a bit of a saviour of grace for HTC who failed pretty miserably with the one M9 and its variants this time around. First look at the phone and you would be tempted to call it an iPhone 6 ripoff, more so than any of the Chinese players you would have seen in the past year or so. In fact, just move the camera module towards the center and rebrand the iPhone 6 from the back, and you pretty much get the HTC One A9. A major difference between the iPhone 6 and HTC One A9 is that the HTC product comes with an oval sensor in front against the round one on the iPhone 6.
Specifications wise, the HTC One A9 comes with a 5 inch True HD 1080 P AMOLED display. It is powered by Snapdragon 617 SoC with 3 GB or 2 GB RAM. Internal memory on the device is 32 GB on the 3 GB RAM variant and 16 GB on the 2 GB RAM version. The rear camera is 13 MP while the front-facing snapper is 4 MP. The battery is 2150 mAh unit. HTC One A9 comes with Android 6.0 out of the box with Sense skin on the top.
The phone comes with a metallic body which on the front houses the speaker grille on the top. It is available for $400 in four color variants: Carbon Gray, Opal Silver, Topaz Gold, Deep Garnet.
