Huawei had a wonderful ending to the year 2015, thanks to the success of the Huawei Nexus 6P. This thrust the brand into the limelight like never before putting enormous pressure on Huawei to follow up with a good product range. The spotlight currently shines brightest on the Huawei P9, which is expected to be the upcoming flagship device. According to @Evleaks on Twitter, the device will be launched on April 6th, which means the anticipation will last another good month or some.
The Huawei P9 is expected to be announced in four different variants. There is going to be a P6, a P6 Lite, a P6 Max and a special enhanced version of the P9. In terms of overall design, the phones will be close by while the specifications will be the main differentiators.
The P9 is expected to come with Kirin 950 SoC, a Dual Camera lens setup as well as a fingerprint scanner on the back. It is expected that the P9 will feature a 5.2 inch Full HD display with a 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The P9 Lite will be powered by Snapdragon 650 and come with a 5 inch Full HD display with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory. The special version, as well as the P9 Max will come with a Kirin 955 chipset for extra power. The Max variant is rumored to have a 4GB RAM/64 GB or 128 GB configuration along with a 6.8 inch display.
