iAppLocker Locks Your Applications on iPhone

Our mobile devices are personal. And thanks to awesome capabilities of iPhone, everyone is always intrigued to check out your device. Every so often it happens that you do not want them to read your private messages or even open the gallery. There is no application locker installed by default. However, this can be done by a small tweak called iAppLocker.

iAppLocker is a new and free Cydia tweak for your iPhone or iPad that allows you to password-protect all or some of your applications. Everyone has an eye for the iDevices and keep on asking for your device. Locking applications is a good way to save your personal stuff.

There are already quite a few paid alternatives to iAppLocker in Cydia that offer this functionality but this one has an edge over the other tweaks. This is very easy to use and even easier to install. There are no new icons added to your device’s SpringBoard with this tweak, and iAppLocker settings can be configured in your main Settings.app. (The default password is “password”).

Quite a few people have reported problems with iAppLocker not working properly. We recommend that you stay away from this tweak until it’s fixed. You can follow the developer on Twitter for updates. If you’ve already installed this with iOS 5.0.1 running please uninstall.

To install this tweak you need to follow the steps given below:

  1. Open Cydia on your jailbroken iphone.
  2. Let the data load.
  3. Once the data is loaded go to search and type in “iAppLocker”.
  4. It’s free in the IHR, insanelyi and sinfuliphone repo.
  5. Select it
  6. Install it.
  7. Respring or reboot your device.
  8. You are done to use it.

If you know any other tweaks similar to this one or any other tweak which you might think would be useful to iphone users please let us know.

Blogtechnika will not be responsible if your device gets bricked while using Cydia.
