All the Android fans have been insanely waiting for this bit of news and finally just a few minutes ago, Instagram has made its first appearance for Android. It has been widely reported over the last weeks that the development was underway and by the start of April we will finally get the famous Social Networking site based purely for pictures on our beloved Android Devices.
The application is available right away for free in the Google Market Place famously renamed as the Play store.
For all those who are wondering what Instagram is, well, it is a very famous social networking site like Twitter but mainly used for photo sharing and those wondering why the hooplah around it is cause so far this application was available only for the iOS based devices like the iPhone and iPad. So if you have been using an Android device and feel the need for Instagram after just having made the switch from iOS, it is a happy happy day.
The application can be downloaded here
Here is the Application description from the developers themselves:
“Instagram is a fast, beautiful and fun way to share your photos with friends and family.
Snap a picture, choose a filter to transform its look and feel, then post to Instagram. Share to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr too – it’s as easy as pie. It’s photo sharing, reinvented.
Oh yeah, did we mention it’s free?”
