Is Google Working On A New Android Play Store Interface?

Changes are galore at Google at the moment. Since Andy Rubin left the reigns as the head of the Android Development team, we did expect the new people to make their mark. Not just by launching new apps such as Keep that was launched recently by Google, it seems like they are working on few changes in the UI of the popular Mobile OS. The first in the queue is the Android Play Store. If these leaks are to be believed then Android Market is all set to get a huge face lift with a Holo-esque themed interface. For all those who are not familiar with the term, Google announced the Holo theme for all its apps when it launched the ICS update.

It is minimalistic in nature and is beautifully crafted. The leaks above were caught by Droid-Life with an APK named 4.0.16. This is very much in line with the way Google have been designing its apps recently. Be it the new interface on Google+ or even the newly launched Keep, this leak therefore looks pretty accurate. We cannot help but feel the look is so similar to the Google Now interface too, maybe every app now designed by Google would have a similar theme based interface.

We like how the colors have been used on the top of each category and just the overall clean and neat UI. Although, it does look very much in Beta, you can be sure to hear more about this development in the coming weeks. Google is notorious for pushing out major updates quickly after the leaks and we do hope that is the situation again.
