Android is well known to be carrying some of the most heavily spec’d devices you can find on the planet. In fact a lot of Android fans use that as a stick to beat their iOS owned device friends. However, most of these specs are pretty irrelevant. For example my HTC One X may have an amazing Quad Core Processor each running at 1.4 GHz, but due to lack of enough optimized apps, it is pretty much equal to a SGS II. This pretty much makes sense why Apple are not so focused on pecs but on creating an Eco System that just works and uses every spec on the board well. However, if the rumor is to be believed Samsung are still looking to bump the hardware configurations.
In an image that was published by Mashable, it clearly shows that Samsung in their labs are indeed testing a device that is as well stacked up as having 3 GB of RAM, yes you read it correct, 3 GB of RAM in a smart phone. To put it into perspective, my i5 powered Acer Laptop runs 3 GB of RAM. There is little give away which device it exactly is, but seems more like a testing device than anything else. Since the Note II and Galaxy SIII already run 2 GB of RAM it makes sense for Samsung to be looking at the next closest bump. It may also that we may see the 3 GB RAM in the next Nexus device which maybe unveiled sometime in the very near future.
