The hype behind the Motorola X Device and the resurgence of Motorola as a smartphone OEM has kind of shifted the focus away from the next Nexus Device. Not just that, but with more and more leaks of devices surfacing, the people are also not much bothered about the next Android version. So just catching up with that, the latest rumour from the flying ground of Nexus devices is that the next Nexus device called the Nexus 5 would be arriving sometime in October and will run Android version 5.0.
Till now we were lead to believe that next Android version will be an incremental update with version 4.3 being the version, but looks like that would not be the case and the next version may well be a proper update. The device is expected to be manufactured by LG alongside the much awaited Optimus G2 but that is not something we are taking too seriously.
There have been enough hints in the past that LG may well be the OEM for the next Nexus but nothing is for sure. If the device does indeed follow the G2, then we can expect the specs to be pretty similar with Snapdragon 800 SoC with 2.3 GHz Quad Core CPU, 3GB RAM and a 4.7 plus inch display.
