Is this LG’s new Television running WebOS?

If you have been following the world of technology for any period beyond the last three or four years, you must well be aware of Web OS. Powered by Palm, Web OS has been at the heart of loads of features bought in by Android and iOS 7 recently. In a way Web OS has been the true father of modern day Mobile OS. However, WebOS after being developed by Palm was sold to HP which after experiencing a disappointing return with the HP Touchpad sold it further to LG.

If the image tweeted by the highly reputed @Evleaks are to be believed, then LG may well be working on a television which runs Web OS. The television is expected to be released in market sometime in May as per the date in the image. The TV would support apps such as Facebook, Skype, Twitter, Weather Channel etc and the hardware specs could see about 1.5 GB of RAM and a Dual Core 2.2 Ghz processor.

The first announcement of the TV could well be as early as this month at CES in Vegas. The design of the TV very much comes from the design language of the recent LG devices such as the G2 with extremely thin bezels and neat craft. With Web OS already a firm favorite in the tech community for its clean UI, the TV definitely would stand a chance to do well if the leak does indeed come true.
