Lenovo has quietly gone ahead and announced the Lenovo P1 Turbo in Indonesia. There have been a couple of models of the Lenovo P1 already in the form of the Lenovo P1, the P1m. It was rumored at MWC last year, that the Lenovo P1 will have a bulky battery version too and was expected to be called the Lenovo P1 Pro, however, the same has been given the name the Pi Turbo and been launched.
It is not clear whether the Lenovo P1 Turbo will come to India, but given that the market has become an important one for the Chinese manufacturer, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that the device does make it here. As the name suggests, the phone is a battery monster, powering in 5,000 mAh battery and has the ability to charge other phones too. This is very similar to what we have seen on the likes of Gionee Marathon M3 or the M4.
The phone is already on preorder in Indonesia for a price of IDR 3,999 which is roughly about Rs 20,000. In terms of other specifications, the phone has a 5.5 inch 1080P display and has Snapdragon 615 under the hood. There is 3 GB of RAM on board and 32 GB of ROM. The rear camera is 13 MP while the front facing one is 5 MP. You do have support for Dual SIM and a Micro SD slot in there.
