After almost a month of speculation and teasing wit leaks, LG has finally taken the wraps off their highly anticipated LG G Flex which they claim is the very first self healing smartphone in the world. We have seen flexible phones before, when Samsung announced the Round, but LG has definitely taken a step ahead with a rapid healing of the back of the device a bit like wolverine which would ensure that the device remains scratch-less and neat even after a few rough rounds of usage.
The device comes in a very ergonomic style with a flexible display that is certainly interesting. The LG Flex is between 7.9 and 8.7mm thick at several points, it weighs only 177 grams, and has a 6-inch 720p display. Inside there’s a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, and a 3,500 mAh battery to keep the device running all day long. There is also “Real RGB” pixel configuration to make the display of the device really vivid and clear.
Though, it is pretty much impossible to know how well the whole self healing mechanism works, as we have not had the device in the hand, but dead sure if it works, it is going to be one thing that we would all love about the device. The phone is slated to release on all the three major US networks
