LG has released the Android Kitkat 4.4 update for it’s flagship device G2 in several markets. The update is being gradually rolled out in batches and if you have a G2, you will be receiving the update shortly if you haven’t yet. Apart from the regular things that the update is expected to bring such as across the board emoji support, new status bar icons etc, there are several performance enhancements that have been promised by LG and several other carriers.
We all hear of performance upgrades whenever a new update is out, but not many of these performance upgrades are visible to the naked eye. As a result, to prove a point, LG UK have released a really interesting video, which clearly shows the performance enhancements when going from Jelly Bean to KitKat on the same device. Most of the difference here is of mili-seconds but put them all together, it makes for a far snappier performance than before. With the new update, LG promises, faster response time of apps, faster Shutter speeds when taking shots with the Camera and faster internet connectivity speed.
These reasons are alone enough to get the KitKat update as soon as that hits up your LG G2. Do let us know, once you get the update that if these performance enhancements made for a better experience than before.
