In an exciting event held at KOD, Gurgaon, LG announced their latest flagship device the LG G2. The smartphone is priced at about Rs. 41,500 and is already available in the market. However, as expected the device is available for slightly lower prices.
The event began with Mr. Soon Kwon, MD, LG India laying a lot of emphasis on the importance of Indian markets. He went on to say that:
“The smartphone market in India is reaching newer heights, with a total of 9.3 million smartphones being shipped in the second quarter this year, as per a recent report. Our focus with G2 is to give our customers a phone that is smart and convenient, in every way- a unique design, a large display, high quality camera with Image Stabilizer, true studio like sound and compelling user experience. LG G2 is a perfect phone that epitomizes our DNA, innovation”
The event also had short speech from the VP of Qualcomm India highlighting how closely LG are working with their partners. The product presentation was done by Mr Amit Gujral, the marketing head of LG in his typical enthusiastic manner. The device in itself has some amazingly thin bezels and is a speed deamon with Snapdragon 800 SoC which also promises great battery life.
The LG G2 also promises great camera performances with OIS as well as good performances in low light conditions. The knock on feature is pretty cool where you have to knock the screen to wake the phone. You have the buttons at the back of the device in an innovative design with the power button being flanked by volume rockers. The phone is filled with features just like the G Pro, though how useful those features are, we will be able to tell only after a review of the device. So stay tuned for that.
