It would not be a wrong assertion to call the LG G2 one of the very best device of the year 2013. the phone kind of brought LG back in to the mobile game and later in the year the Nexus 5 certainly helped them establish as a major brand once again. As a result, obviously every major launch by LG now will be scrutinized because people expect good devices with plenty of innovation from LG. Hence, the next flagship from LG i.e. the LG G3 has already been under a lot of spotlight even before it has been spotted or released.
The Verge has got hold of some exclusive shots of what looks like the retail box of the LG G3 and the report claims that the device will come in a gold variant, a trend started by the iPhone 5s, and also would pack a QHD display. This is a big news because of all the major OEMs, LG would be the only one to bring QHD display to the board on its flagship as all of HTC M8, Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Sony Xperia Z2 are all packing a 1080 P Panel. According to the report, the phone is expected to bring exactly the same frontal design as the isai L24 which is expected to be released in Japan this summer.
Rest of the rumored specs include a Snapdragon 801 Quad Core SoC, 3 GB of RAM, 13 MP Camera and 32 GB of internal storage with expansion possible via Micro SD card. The phone is expected to come with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and a redesigned Optimus UI too.
