In what is set to be the biggest global campaign by a mobile brand as far as the giveaways go, LG is building quite a buzz towards the LG G4 by claiming that it would be making 4,000 units of the G4 available for the consumers to take away. These devices are not press units and will be available for general consumers as LG aims to capture a large market with the device given that both HTC and Samsung opened the door for competition, by putting out products that could be bettered or matched, HTC definitely more so than Samsung.
However, it is cause of this opportunity that LG has claimed that it plans to give away at the very least about 4,000 LG G4 devices to the customers to try out before the launch. The devices can be procured in Social Media contests that will be held by LG on their own Social channels of the local LG page and you can be a part of the same. The device will be given for a 30 day period for the consumer to try out and check, using which the consumers will have a list of task to perform based on the completion of which they will be awarded. Juno Cho, the CEO of LG Electronics said:
Customers are our best fans and we think this would be an exciting and unique way to get our most important mobile product of the year close to the public. We’re putting the success of LG G4 in the hands of consumers before the launch because we believe they are the best judge of a great user experience, beyond just benchmarks and speed tests.
For those of us in India, the campaign would go live here as well, so make sure you are following LG India’s twitter page to know more about it.
