It’s good news for smartphone users in India and anyone who wishes to buy a new mobile phone. Nokia’s Lumia series, Motorola’s Droid Razr and iphone 4S have arrived in the Indian market. The fact that all these phones work on different operating system adds up to the delight.
Starting with Lumia series, Lumia 800 is available in India at a price of INR 29000 and Lumia 710 will cost you INR 19000. Both these phones run on Microsoft’s Windows phone 7 OS and Lumia 800 will be a handy addition to the pack of high end devices.
Motorola’s Droid Razr which was supposed to launch at the end of the year has already been spotted at a retailer’s websites. It is priced at INR 33,990 and runs on Google’s Android OS. Currently it is running gingerbread but Motorola will soon update it to the latest Ice-cream Sandwich. The phone is a bit costlier than Samsung’s Galaxy S II and is bound to face a lot of competition in the smartphone market.
Lastly, Apples iphone 4S has hit the market on November 25. Although there is no official word from Apple yet, Aircel and Airtel have announced that they will be launching iphone 4S. Airtel have already started taking preorders for iphone 4S since 18th of November. The 16 GB variant of iphone 4S is priced at INR 44,500 while 32 GB at INR 50,900. The 64GB iPhone 4S model is not currently listed on the Airtel’s pre-order page but it is expected to be priced at a whopping INR 57,500.
