Reading mails in half screen sometimes gets irritating, it is better to temporarily hide the keyboard and read the mail in full screen.
MailKeyboardHide is a free iPhone tweak in Cydia that lets you temporarily hide the keyboard when you’re composing a new email in Mobile Mail.app.
IPad’s have this feature already built-in; iPhone does not have this feature. The obvious benefit here is that you can see more of the screen when reviewing a long email you’ve just written or received.
To hide your keyboard just do a scroll-down or scroll-up gesture while in the Mail composition view.
In addition to Mobile Mail.app, MailKeyboardHide should work in any other composition view system-wide.
Using this, you can hide the Keyboard while scrolling through the Mail Composer view in the Mail.app or any composition view system-wide. The reason using the MailKeyboardHide tweak would be useful is because it allows you to see more of your message at once (conserving space on such a tiny screen is always important).
There are no new icons added to your SpringBoard, and no settings to configure with this tweak.
To download this tweak:
- Open Cydia on your jailbroken iphone.
- Once the data is loaded, go to search and type in “MailKeyboardHide”.
- It’s free in the BigBoss repo.
- Select it and install it.
- Respring or reboot your device.
- You are done to use it.
I hope this enhances the mail reading
experience on your iDevice. Do let us know!
P.S. this tweak is not needed on the ipad

This is good for those jailbroken iPhones but do you think this is also applicable for those unjailbreak iPhones?
But anyway I think you can still hide the keyboard by swiping downward the keyboard
Nope, you cannot use it until your device is jailbroken.
