Media Controller Brightness: Control Brightness on your iPhone

It is mentioned at various places that one of the places to enhance your battery on the device is to control its brightness, however, brightness control is a rather tedious process on the iPhone or iPad. Would it not be awesome to have a one touch control to your requirement of changing brightness?

Double clicking the home button on the lockscreen used to give us the default iPod controls but, Media Controller Brightness is a free Cydia tweak for your iDevice that adds a Brightness slider, a WiFi toggle, and a Location toggle to the Lock Screen.

You simply have to activate the Media Controller Brightness by double clicking the home button on the Lock Screen and the User Interface fades in smoothly, right above the unlock slider.

Media Controller Brightness is available for free in Cydia. No new icons are added to your Springboard with this tweak and you can configure which toggles are visible and enable/disable the fading animation in your main

You can also choose and customize the background dock of this tweak which i think isn’t that important.


To download this tweak:

1. Open Cydia on your jailbroken iphone.

2. Once the data is loaded, go to search and type in “Media Controller Brightness”

3. Its free in the BigBoss repo.

4. Select it and install it.

5. Respring or reboot your device.

6. You are done to use it.
