Mark down the calendar all you Windows enthusiasts as the next iteration of Windows for desktops and laptops is set to be introduced on September 30th. We had recently shared with you some of the first screenshots that have appeared of Windows 9. Some of the new features of the update include the return of a Start Menu as well as tiled shortcuts within the desktop environment. There is also a new search bar at the bottom and apps like the Windows Store which can now be run in the desktop environment.
Now, Microsoft has confirmed that the event to introduce the new Windows will take place on September 30th and most of the fans who have been left largely frustrated with half baked Windows 8 would be happy for the same. The event will be held in San Francisco and the core focus of the same will be Windows Enterprise and power users. The Technical Preview is expected at the event or shortly after that to give the developers and enterprise users a bit of a flavour in terms of the changes made by Microsoft to Windows.
It is expected, those who sign up for the Technical Preview will be served the updates across the year and they will have first chance to look at the final release which would happen sometime next year.
