Microsoft announced the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL as its new flagship products earlier in the year in India. With the X50 series being the new hotshot, it is expected that Microsoft will bring the other monikers of X50 too. We have already heard rumors about the Microsoft Lumia 850 and the release of Lumia 550, and following the two, it looks like the Lumia 650 is pretty eminent too, as suggested by the renders leaked. The device will apparently be released by Microsoft on February 1st. This will be a soft launch with no dedicated event assigned for the product, but the phone will be expected to make a mark in the budget category.
The report also mentions, that the Lumia 650 launch could well be the first and last Lumia device to release in 2016, with Microsoft moving their efforts into bringing the Surface line of devices. In terms of rumoured specifications, the phone will have a 5 inch 720 P display with Gorilla Glass protection.
The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 210 processor, with 1 GB of RAM onboard and 8 GB internal memory which would be expandable. The phone will run Windows 10 out of the box and support Dual SIM. The rear camera would be 8 MP while the front facing camera would be 5 MP. The phone would support Indian 4G LTE bands and come with 2000 mAh battery.
Seeing the specifications, we expect the phone to be priced in the region of $300 and $400.
