The Motorola Moto G has been a very successful product out of Motorola’s arsenal. Both, the 2013 and 2014 versions of the phone have done well in the market in terms of numbers sold. In fact, the Moto G 2014 has recently been dropped to a price point of Rs 9,999 on Flipkart signaling the imminent arrival of a successor which will be the Motorola Moto G 2015 edition. Obviously, there is excitement around what Motorola will bring this time around, and with how it is in the modern tech world, thanks to the innate need for marketing and SoV, the device has already been leaked out in public.
The images show a very similar profile of the phone like the previous generation of Moto X. You will notice that the front facing speakers are gone and you have a more curvy back with textured panel. This is bound to help out with ergonomics of the phone. The Motorola dimple too has been downsized and is a part of a thin strip sort which also incorporates the camera and LED flash.
The device will run Android 5.1.1 out of the box if the leaked image is to go by. Both the volume rockers as well as the power button will be on the right flank of the device with headphone jack on the top. It is disappointing though, that Motorola has still gone ahead with massive bezels on the device which makes it a little ugly. In terms of specs, the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 410 SoC with 2 GB as far as the rumors go. There is no stipulated time frame for the launch of the device yet.
