Motorola is back in India and with a bang. Barely days after making headlines for being acquired by Lenovo, Motorola is back in the news, for all the right reasons. When Moto G was announced in Brazil in December, it was widely speculated that this is the device that would change how the budget Android devices were perceived. The only question that lingered on was how aggressively will Motorola prize the phone when it finally comes to India. After a long wait, the device was announced in India today starting at Rs. 12,499 for a 16 GB variant. There is also a 32 GB version which is available for Rs. 13,999.
Easy to say, this is a device that is targeting the set of consumers that so far had brands such as Micromax, Xolo or even the lower models of Samsung to pick from which hardly gave the experience of a true Android device. Moto G with fantastic specs and now brilliant pricing, is no doubt going to change that.
Equipped with a Snapdragon Quad Core SoC with each Core running at 1.2 GHz and Adreno 305 GPU for graphics, the Moto G is no slouch when it comes to specs. There is a very decent 5 MP rear camera, promise for timely updates as well as a high class 720 P, 4.5 inch display on the Moto G. There is 2070 mAh battery as well as 1 GB RAM on board to keep things butter smooth. The phone has received rave reviews in the entire tech community and it would certainly be very interesting to see if the device becomes a success story. Moto G would be available for booking starting tomorrow on Flipkart.
