Motorola Announces the Motorola Moto X Force As Motorola Goes Offline in India

Motorola announced the much hyped Motorola Moto X Force in an event held in Gurgaon yesterday. The device has been priced uncomfortably high at Rs 49,999 for the 32 GB version and Rs 53,999 for the 64 GB version. The USP of the device is its Shatterproof display which Motorola has guaranteed will remain intact at least for four years, but lacks the modern buzz-features like a fingerprint scanner or even Dual camera setup.

In terms of specifications, the phone comes with 5.4 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED panel, giving it a gorgeous screen. It is powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3 GB of RAM and comes in either 32 GB or 64 GB memory variants. If that was not enough, you have a hybrid SIM slot, which accommodates, either 2 nano SIM cards or one nano-SIM card and one Micro SD slot with support up to 2 TB storage. You have Dual Front Facing speakers as well as a pair of f/2.0 21 and 5 MP cameras on the back and front respectively.

The phone comes with Android 5.1 out of the box, which is disappointing given that we are living in the age of Marshmallow. Motorola has said that the phone will be updated soon to Android 6.0. The Motorola Moto X Force will be available, starting 8th of February, both on Amazon and Flipkart, and also offline. The partnership of Motorola with Lenovo is definitely showing up and is only a good news for Moto fans as it looks like their favorite brand will now have their devices available offline.
