We heard the mummers of the new Motorola phone being launched but nothing really happened. However, we are happy to report that the new Motorola photon has been showcased. The photon is a power packed device keeping in line with the modern smartphone needs and really is one of the most complete handsets out there. Branded as the successor to the very popular Motorola Atrix, one thing for sure is that Photon has big boots to fill.
The 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 540×960 pixels is absolutely breath taking gorgeous. The photon packs on board, 16 GB internal storage, 1 GB RAM and 2 GB ROM with up to 32 GB microSD support. The phone is the second 4G device from Motorola after the Atrix and is powered by a 1700 mAh battery giving upto 9 hours of talk time. The Photon will ship with with 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 AP20H dual Core processor. The phone is also a host of a 8 MP rear camera shooter capable of taking videos in High Definition.
The prices of the device have not yet been confirmed, so keep an eye on this space for when they are out. However, what is known is that it would be available on Sprint in summer and that is when the official specs would be announced.
