We love this. We absolutely love when an OEM promises an update and delivers it well ahead of schedule. Call it the Christmas gift or just plain awesomeness, that is exactly what Motorola has done with the Moto G. The Google owned phone manufacturer made plenty of waves when it released the Moto G, which is now tipped to be the best Android smartphone in the budget category. While most of us were busy singing the lyrical of their praises, Motorola has gone ahead and released the Android version 4.4.2 for it’s Moto G, giving it the awesomeness of KitKat.
The update was expected to roll out sometime in the new year, but things moved quickly and here we are, barely a month post the launch of Android 4.4 and both the flagships from Motorola, the Moto X and Moto G are chilling and enjoying Kitkats.
This once again raises the question, that, if you bother about updates and having the latest and greatest from Google, then you are much better off going and getting a device that runs the stock version of Android and that at the moment means getting one of the Google Play Edition devices or the Nexus devices or the Moto X/ G.
The update is available as an OTA and is rolling out globally in batches. So, like any other update, if you have not received it yet, have some patience or KitKat for the lack of better chocolate and keep staring at the phone.
