Motorola Droid Razr, Razr Maxx and Bionic are some of the devices we have come to love a lot in the recent few months. However, when it comes to receiving major updates, Motorola has been extremely slow, in fact the page where the customers are to be informed about the promised ICS update has barely been updated. In a world where Samsung and HTC device owners are gladly enjoying the ICS treat , Motorola has definitely disappointed its customers.
However, finally there seems to be light at the end of the dark tunnel and the latest update on the Motorola page here, shows that the owners of the latest Motorola smartphone such as Droid Razr, Razr Maxx and tablets such as Xoom and Xoom 3g can expect the ICS update as early as end of next month. However, some of the older phones, such as Droid 4, Bionic, Xyboard are all slated to roll out only in the Q3 of this year. There is still no word on devices such as Droid 3 and Droid X2. However, we do hope that their roll out would be soon.
What do you think about this delay from Motorola? Are you already running ICS on your devices thanks to custom ROM’s or still waiting for the official one, or planning to dump Motorola for something better? Do let us know in the comments section below.
