It has always been the demand of Android enthusiasts to have top notch hardware married with Vanilla Android on board. This request was granted at the last Google I/O when Google announced that the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S IV would be getting the Google Play Editions where the same top notch hardware would come out of box with Vanilla unstiched Android. Subsequently we saw the likes of Sony Xperia Z Ultra get a similar Google Play Edition. Latest to join the extravagant line is the Motorola Moto G.
The device is an interesting add on, because it made it’s mark as the best budget Android smartphone. No wonder, it is also the cheapest Google Play Device that you can pick up. With fabulous hardware and Android as it is meant to be, the Moto is a wonderful option for those who are looking for a budget Android phone and care about having the latest updates from Google before anyone else could.
The hardware of the device is exactly the same as the unlocked Moto G released, and the GPE version also will retail for exactly the same price of $179 for the 16 GB version and $199 for the 32 GB version. Could this be the beginning of Google sanctioning just about every top smartphone to get the Google Edition Version? We will sure find out.
