It has been coming for a very long time but looks like Netflix could finally be making way to India as early as next week. The tech community comes together, every January for the Consumer Electronics Show, which is one of the premier tech shows in the world. This is the show where most of the big announcements happen and kind of rolls the dice for the coming year.
Several people in India have been using the Netflix service using VPNs or such other arrangements, but with a final launch close by, will only mean good things. It is not clear whether all the content from the United States would be available on Netflix and if we will be on parity with our friends from North America, but you would assume that most of the content would come here. Another interesting bit of development is that Netflix has been rather encouraged by the expansion of 4G in India and could perhaps bring the Netflix experience in partnership with one or more telecom operator providing LTE. Currently, the likes of Airtel, Idea, Vodafone and Reliance have 4G Networks in India.
CES is scheduled to happen from January 6th to January 9th in the year 2016 and that is when we can hope to hear more on this potential big news.
