In a bizarre turn of events, FCC or LG have accidentally published images of the next Nexus Flagship device, the Nexus 5 under the name of Verizon G2. It is not beyond the realms of imagination that this might be a genuine mistake and not done to spill the beans or rather break the kitkat as we are pretty sure the next Nexus device will come with the latest Android 4.4.
Although, the image is very similar to the one we saw in the hands of a Google employee on the day Google announced Kitkat, these FCC images definitely give us a little more details about the upcoming device. We cannot help but notice that Camera Lens protruding out from the Nexus 5 and fear that it would end up being a scratch mess over a period of time, but we may be totally wrong as LG may have applied some sort of anti scratch technology to protect the sapphire.
Apart from the camera, the screen looks deceptively like that on the G2 with minimum bezel around it. We hear the rumors that the Nexus 5 would feature a full resolution 5 inch Display and be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor. Given the Note III broke the 3 GB RAM barrier, it would not be a surprise to see the Nexus 5 feature the same. Think of the Nexus 5 as a more rubberized, Google branded G2 with very similar specs. But, since these are all rumors, it is impossible to say with absolute certainty how the device would be. We can only, wait and watch in the mean time.
